In your comments on my last post
you mentioned about wanting to see the miricle of birth. Well, I don’t
have that on video yet, but I do have the first lamb of the twins at
less than an hour old. All slimey.
Sorry about the noise, that was the tractor.
I’ve got someone who wants to meet you.

Hello.
This is Darkie. She’s one of the many pet ewes we have now.
Did I mention that she was halter trained? She walks better on a lead than any of the dogs.
Last year, Darkie had twins. I wonder what she’ll have this time.
She didn’t look too well on Saturday, her
ears were back as if she was sick. I took her outside and she
perked up. She’s out in a field now, where she’ll be happier.
She’s one our our quietest ewes, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t cheeky.
Grass anyone?

Hey Everyone!
ReplyDeleteWow, what great video of the newborn. Sooo cute. I'd have to try really hard not to chase and bash. Great pix of Darkie. I'd definitely want to chase Darkie around...I might be sorry though. I bet she's tougher than she looks.
Grr and Woof,
Sarge
I'll have to watch the video later, can't access video's where I at right now but Darkie is really cool. I love that you can walk her like a dog.
ReplyDeleteDarkie looks like a sweetheart. Nice photos!
ReplyDeleteHi there
ReplyDeleteFound you through Coffee With A Canine and I'm going to love following your adventures.
After all, Border Collies are NEARLY as fab as greyhounds.
I think I could be quite good at rounding animals up - but my family won't let me off my lead to try.
Love and licks, Winnie the Greyhound.
she looks like she has a lot of personality!
