Yesterday was my birthday. I’m 16 now. Blimey. Instead of cake, I had
a nice take-away with a gravy chip and a chicken burger. Mmmm…
Anyway, Pip wanted to come too. It was a chip van on a street, so Border Collie puppies are allowed. Pip enjoyed the journey.
Pip was also very good and waited patiently for the food to be ready.
…But she didn’t get any! Poor girl!
For my birthday I got a new phone. It can take pictures and upload them to my Flickr. That is my sort of phone!

ok, so I have to ask...being an silly American and all, what are "gray chips"??? I know you all call what we know as 'fries' chips. But I am having a hard time imagining 'gray' fries - I keep picturing gray, furry, moldy fries. Ewwwwww!
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday! Wow 16. Well done. Glad Pip had a chance to go even if the Pipster didn't get anything to eat.
ReplyDeleteVery Happy Belated Birthday to you. I love your blog. Your pictures are great. I live in South Carolina, USA, and would love to visit Ireland. Every picture makes me think that Ireland must be a very beautiful place. I love reading of you and your doggies antics. I don't have a dog right now, so I live vicariously through your blog. God Bless and many, many more Happy Birthdays.
ReplyDeleteWe were wondering what gravy chips were as well! Happy belated birthday to you! 16 is a big year!! That was nice that Pip got to ride along with you. Riley loves car rides even if we just go to a drive-thru and don't get out!
ReplyDeleteElyse and Riley
Happy Birthday - 16 is a great age says the Momster!!! We also want to know what a gravy chip might be - sounds tasty to us.
ReplyDeleteWoos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
Happy Birthday! How nice drive you had with Pip! I was so happy to see Pip running with and after the sheeps and learning her job! (somehow I couldn't leave a comment then). Pip is more close to my heart because she has the same look in her eyes like my Hanna!
ReplyDeleteSunny weekend to you and your sweet dogs! Teje and Nero
Happy Sweet 16!
ReplyDeleteThere was a 23th birthday at our house yesterday:)
Oops, that should be '23rd'
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Pip, you handsome guy, you! I am a small town dog, half Border Collie and half Black Labrador. My Mom thinks I am getting smarter as we go along because I LISTEN to what she says. For my birthday I like doughnut holes, little round balls of doughnuts with frosteen on them. So yummy! But you guys work hard, so you need meat and potatoes!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Stella
happy birthday!!
ReplyDeletei have the same phone, i love it :)
Happy Birthday! 16 is a good age to be! I am only a few years younger than you (13.5), but I guess in dog years I am much older!

ReplyDeleteMy Rosie is turning 16 in April and I share the same birthday month with you but I'm much much older :)
@ BCxFour: Oooh - you've spotted my spelling mistake. It was meant to say "gravy". Ah well. Thanks for poniting that out!
ReplyDeleteA gravy chip is basically some chips with gravy on them - what do Americans call them?
Happy Belated Birthday to one of the most fun bloggers we know! And congrats on getting that great new phone!
ReplyDeleteWoofs, Purrs and Hugs,
The Poupounette Gang
It was my Birthday too! Hope I look as young as you when I'm 16. Happy Birthday and many more!
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! I am surprised about your age, actually. I've shown my 13 year old daughter your blog, and said you refer to your "dad", so I figured you were not old enough to be on you own, but I surely thought you were older! Your writing is well-crafted and your pics imaginative. Good work - your family must be very proud of you.
ReplyDeleteAnd as another comment above stated, we've been looking into visiting Ireland one day - your pics definitely keep us motivated ;)
