I love taking Blue Belle for walks and I like checking on the lambs - so why not combine the two?
While I was checking on Dave and his other male lamb friends on the top of the hill, I let Blue Belle off to graze in front of the mountains.
The view in the opposite direction isn't too shabby either.
The lambs kept their distance from the giant not-sheep. They might have come closer if Suckie had joined us, but she declined on this occasion.
The ewe-lambs were fine as well. Blue Belle got to graze on another hill.
The girls were more curious about Blue Belle than the boys.
Blue Belle really enjoys this job. There's lots of sweet grass to be had.
And I thought it was really sweet when Blue Belle stopped eating for once and came over to see what I was doing.
Back at Blue Belle and Suckie's field, Suckie was not impressed at being left behind, even if it was her choice.
Wow! You live in a magnificent place. It is truly breathtaking and I cannot imagine being able to see that view any time that I wanted. You are so lucky!! Thanks for hopping with us. ☺

Blue Belle is very cute. Are you familiar with the Thelwell Ponies, https://www.google.ca/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=thelwell%20pony%20images
ReplyDeleteThat is what she reminds me of:) Do you have to worry about her foundering?

Yes, the Thelwell Ponies are hilarious! I had to look up foundering, because to me it means cold. "It would founder you out there." I didn't realise it could mean laminitis too! She hasn't had it before, and her trips out to check on the lambs and eat so much are few and far between. I've let her put on a bit of weight because I know she'll lose it in the winter. She can be this round, but no rounder!
