First time on sand! She tried to eat it.

There were a lot of people around, even if the sun wasn't out. Sue put her ears down and looked cute for everyone who walked past, and seemed quite miffed when they didn't all stop with her! When people did stop she rewarded them with lots of kisses.

Her ear game was strong.

A low wall runs alongside the promenade and of course Sue wanted to walk on it rather than the ground. The low wall is popular with children so we had to give way to them a few times.

When we reached the bridge there was a momentary pause in the foot traffic for a moment and Sue started posing. She was taking in the view.

It was quite nice.

More people watching.

I stopped for coffee at a café (one that both Samson and Nobby the lamb have visited) and while I waited for it to be made, Sue was getting increasingly frustrated at the people who were walking by and not paying her any attention. So she started howling at them. It had the desired affect - people looked down at the noise and some even stopped to stroke her.

When she was unsure, she would lie down on my feet, just right there in the middle of the pavement. She was so good, though. I was impressed with how brave she was - she's cheeky and outgoing at home, but in a busy seaside town on a holiday it can be very different.
On our way back to the car we found an alley that I will definitely revisit when Sue has learned to stay - there are some colourful murals.

So that was Sue's first big adventure. Here's to many more. Happy 2019!
Great pics !
ReplyDeleteWell done Sue, she seems a confident pup with all the new things.
Pretty in pink and love those ears.
I don't know how anyone could walk past this gorgeous little girl and miss the chance of some puppy kisses !
